History. Kostanay – fertile land
Kostanay – the ancient name. Kostanay is in the plans of the Governor's leadership of Orenburg and Turgai oblasts in 1870 was listed as the city of Urdaibai (Ordabay), in 1879, became the village of Kostanay (Kostanai), in 1893, the city of Novo-Nikolaevsk, in 1895 received the former name of Jinhua, in 1997, according to Kazakh transcription – Kostanay.
The name of the city must be sought in the mists of time. It is inextricably linked with the history of his native land. When the travelers moved along difficult roads from the Torgai to the Urals, which runs in the waterless steppes, they always stayed at kaige. In his book "the Singing of the dome" writer, Akseleu Seidimbekov said: "First of all, comes to mind the name of legendary truth-seeker Asan-Kaigy. Thant, the eldest the wife of Asan-Kaigy, rests on the top of Ulytau in the Eastern part of Torgai. Her grave monument is affectionately known as the "AK Mechet" (White mosque). I still remember the elders legend about two twin sisters – Tana and Tanay. In their honor and was created at the time the toponym Kostanay".
Auyl Kaigy is in Naurzum district. Local residents say that in the fourteenth century there lived Asan Kaigy, that in translation into Russian sounds as Asan sad. This philosopher of the desert, sage and traveler, traveled to sweem camel almost the entire Kazakhstan. All searched the land of happiness. Stopped in Naurzum reserve, seeing a beautiful place, rich pastures, hit the ground with a stick, and a scoring key, flowed the river Kaigy. Still value in those places the water. Wife of Asana, says the rumor, called Tana. Hence the name of the city of Kostanay. This is not a historical fact. But like any story it carries the wisdom of the people, the dream of a better life. In it the connection times. The legend passed down from generation to generation. And still name girls name Tana.
According to the pre-revolutionary Kazakh historians, Asan-Kaigy was one of the most influential dignitaries of the Golden Horde Khan Ulug-Mohammed. In recent years he was an adviser to the Ulug Muhammad, who became Governor of Kazan, and returned to Dasht-I-Kipchak after the death of his patron. The poet died a very old man in the land of Sary-ARKA – the Ulytau mountains.
In the legend of the legendary son of Asana and Tan Abat Batyr, the talking about the mountains Zhylandy and Kassel. They are on the territory of Naurzum district of Kostanay region. Not far from here to the famous people and village Kaigy. Kaigy is the nickname Asana sad. Nearby is the area of Abat bass. In Kazakh language it means the beginning of Abate or literally: the head of Abate.
A story about Abat Batyr was published in the book "Organ cauldron"("Dead copper"), (Almaty: publishing house "Zhalyn", 1985, compiled by candidate of Philology Koba of Sadhana). In the story the narrator proves that Abat's not afraid of anyone, no one is jealous, no one else is offended. This story – the continuation of philosophical ideas of his father – Asan-Kaigy.
Famous scientist Anuar Derbisalin in the book "Ibrai Altynsarin" writes: "the Ancestors of Ibray Altynsarin start your branch from the kind of Altibus the tribe of Kipchaks. In documents written in Russian, regarding Bulkogi found the name Uzun Kipchak. Here in both cases, there are no errors. Uzun initial link Altibase. The common table is as follows: From Kipchak continued descendants of Bultin, Uzun, Torah, Koldenen and Karabalyk. From Uzun Altimas, Altis. From Altibase Karaman, Karmas. From Karaman Tiney. From Tenea ... She Ganbold, Kundyz. From Mandisa Kobec. From Cabeca Aigul. From Aigul Janak. Janak From The Tastemir. From The Tastemir Zhanbyrshy. From Zhanbyrshy Kankara, Balcora. From Balcoy Of Altynsary, Cochin. From Altynsary Ibray. From Kosana Ospan, Omar. (Almaty: Izd. "Arda", 2005, p. 10)
It is in this book indicates that Balcora was born approx in the 80s H century, died in the spring of 1859, when he was 70 years old. Balgosa before his death, left a will to be buried near winter quarters, on the right Bank of the Tobol, at an elevated location. According to A. Derbisalin, Ibray to the first days of July (1859) finished constructed grandfather. According to Kazakh tradition Ibray Altynsarin with full honors buried in this cemetery, which is popularly called Acts (White grave) the area in honor of Ibrahim named Inspector's lake.
Journalist Kuanysh Ormanov in the book "Altyn Dala" (Coinpress, 2006, p. 66) cites a version of: "from time immemorial on the banks of the Tobol lived the descendants of the tribe Altibus Uzun Kipchak. One of the rulers of his Tiney was the third son Altibase. Have Altibase had five sons: Tabyn,Tiney, Karmis and Hafizulla. In turn, this tenea ... she had three sons: Satay, Sanay and Kundyz. Kundyz was the great-great-great-grandfather Ibray Altynsarin (Tiney – Kundyz – Kobec – Tastemir – Zhanbyrshy – Balcora – Altynsarin – Ibrahim). The senior sons tenea ... she Is Satay and Sanay was known in the neighborhood of the batyrs who defended the native land. According to legend, brothers, and belonged to this land. The people since then say the land of the two warriors, the land of two brothers Teneev. Sounds like: the earth is KOs (i.e., two Kazakh) Teneev. Over time, say, KOs Tiney turned to Kostanay. Also seems to be true, right?" The author does not mention the names of ancestors Altynsarin between Comecom and Tastemir. But, it is undisputed that the city settlement of Kipchak.
People's writer of Kazakhstan Mariyam Khakimzhanova in one of his trips once pointed out a building of people's Bank, and said that this place used to be a cemetery, where are buried two girls-twins. The first settlers in this place found the grandmother, who mourned the deceased from the lives of their grandchildren. When asked: "what is this place?" she cried bitter tears and repeated the words: "As tha Nam-ow!" After a while near the grave was built the White mosque. We should not forget that the Kazakhs their children lovingly called a foal, lamb, camel, I. etc. Tana – jewelry that girls usually wear on the jackets, so as not jinxed baby. It cannot be denied that grandmother can name their Pets and this word. Poets of Fariza Ungarsynova and Serik Turgunbekov built his poetic works dedicated to Kostanay earth, on these versions. "Every time I come to town, I'm happy The people remembered the names of the two girls," wrote Serik Turgunbekov.
If you believe the poetic sense, that among the people of the more prevalent is this version about the two twin girls.
